How to solve the abnormal noise problem of Petrol Car water pump?

In the cylinder of Petrol Car engine, there is a water channel for cooling water circulation, which is connected to the radiator (commonly known as water tank) placed at the front of the Petrol Car through a water pipe, forming a large water circulation system. At the upper water outlet of the Petrol Car engine, there is a water pump, which is driven by a fan belt to pump out the hot water in the water channel of the Petrol Car engine cylinder and pump in the cold water.

There is also a thermostat next to the water pump. When the Petrol Car is just started (cold car), it is not opened, so that the cooling water does not pass through the water tank, but only circulates in the Petrol Car engine (commonly known as small circulation). When the temperature of the Petrol Car engine reaches above 80 degrees, it is opened, and the hot water in the Petrol Car engine is pumped into the water tank. The cold wind blows through the water tank when the Petrol Car moves forward, taking away the heat. This is roughly how it works. The direct consequence of most water pump damage is coolant leakage, which is mostly caused by the aging of the water pump seal ring; in addition, too tight combination belts of Petrol Car engines can also cause premature wear of water pumps; antifreeze is not replaced for a long time, and internal corrosion eventually causes water pump damage; water pumps reach their service life and are not replaced for a long time. Check whether the Petrol Car water pump shaft is bent, the degree of wear of the journal, and whether the thread at the end of the shaft is damaged. Check whether the blades on the impeller are broken and whether the shaft hole is seriously worn. Check the degree of wear of the water seal and bakelite gasket. If it exceeds the use limit, replace it with a new part. Check the wear of the bearings. The clearance of the bearings can be measured with a gauge. If it exceeds 0.10mm, replace the new bearings. The main reason for the water pump failure is the aging of the water pump seal ring, and the premature wear of the water pump caused by the over-tightening of the Chery Car engine combination belt. Install and check the water pump, and turn the water pump by hand. If it is astringent and stuck, it cannot be used. A bad water pump will lead to poor circulation and high temperature. The main reason for the water pump is leakage or broken blades.

If the water pump and the shaft bearing structure are well designed, the water seal will not be eccentric due to the wear of the bearing, resulting in leakage and abnormal noise (special attention: after repairing the water pump, when assembling the belt on the pulley, it must be assembled according to the belt tension specified in the instruction manual. The belt tension of the general car is 350-550N. This must be paid attention to, otherwise it will cause a fatal situation in the Chery Car engine after running for a period of time). It is recommended to turn the bearing by hand to see if there is any stagnation. If not, it is a problem with the water seal design.
Second, the structural design of the water seal itself is unreasonable. At present, it is found that there are cases where the abnormal noise is caused by the defects in the design of the water seal itself. At present, most foreign water seal manufacturers have made structural improvements based on the analysis of the heat dissipation problem of the water seal when working at a high speed of the water pump. Simply put, the design rotation direction of the improved water seal should be consistent with the rotation direction of the water pump. If you rotate the bearing by hand and find an abnormal noise, it must be caused by the inconsistency between the rotation direction of the water seal design and the rotation direction of the water pump.
