How to solve these faults of Petrol Car drive shaft?

2024 06/26

Universal Petrol Car transmission device is often affected by Chery Car driving on complex roads, so that the Petrol Car drive shaft transmits torque under the condition of its constantly changing angle and length. Therefore, Petrol Car drive shaft dynamic imbalance, loose universal joint and intermediate support, and noise are often seen.

Chery Omoda 5 Compact Car

1. There is a knocking sound when the Petrol Car starts, and there is always an abnormal sound during driving.
Phenomenon When the Petrol Car starts, there is a knocking sound; when the vehicle speed changes or the high gear is driven at a low speed, there is also a knocking sound. During the whole driving process, there is almost constant noise.
The inner race of the intermediate bearing is loose or the vibration damping rubber is damaged.
When the Petrol Car suddenly changes speed during driving, there is always a metal knocking sound, most of which are individual flanges or universal joint bearings.
When braking and decelerating, the Petrol Car drive shaft has a heavy metal knocking sound. Check whether the riding bolts on the rear leaf spring are loose.
When starting or driving, there is always an obvious abnormal sound and vibration. Generally, the fixing bolts of the intermediate bearing bracket are seriously loose or the intermediate bearing is damaged.
When starting and changing the speed, the impact sound is obvious. The abnormal sound is more obvious when the Petrol Car is running at low speed than at high speed, indicating that the inner race of the intermediate bearing is loose.
After parking, visual inspection and shaking of the various parts of the Petrol Car drive shaft can verify the above diagnosis.
2. There is no abnormal sound when starting, but there is an abnormal sound during driving.
Phenomenon Although there is no abnormal sound when the Petrol Car starts, the abnormal sound appears when accelerating, and the sound is obvious when the gear is disengaged and gliding.
The sliding fork is installed misaligned, causing the universal joint forks at both ends of the Petrol Car drive shaft to no longer be in the same plane.
The intermediate bearing is worn and loose, poorly lubricated or slightly damaged.
The bracket is skewed, the crossbeam rivets are loose, and the vibration-damping rubber pads are ineffective.
The universal joint is assembled too tight and the rotation is not flexible.
The Petrol Car drive shaft is a high-speed, less-supported rotating body, so its dynamic balance is crucial. Generally, the Petrol Car drive shaft must be dynamically balanced before leaving the factory and adjusted on the balancing machine. For front-engine rear-wheel drive vehicles, the shaft that transmits the rotation of the transmission to the final reducer can be composed of several sections, and the sections can be connected by universal joints.
