Electric Car batteries should never be stored in a discharged state. A discharged state refers to an Electric Car not being charged for an extended period (more than one month) after use.
Storing a battery in a discharged state easily leads to sulfation. Lead sulfate crystals adhere to the plates, blocking ion channels, causing insufficient charging and a decrease in battery capacity.
The longer the battery is left discharged, the more severe the damage. Therefore, when an Electric Car is not in use, it should be recharged once a month to better prevent the battery capacity from declining.
Chery Electric Car should avoid mixing new and old batteries or charging them together. New batteries have lower internal resistance.
Older batteries have increased internal resistance to varying degrees. When charging new and old batteries together, the increased internal resistance of the older battery results in a relatively higher voltage drop, easily causing overcharging.
Conversely, new batteries have low internal resistance and low charging voltage, but a higher current, easily causing overcurrent.
