(1) Improper installation. According to the requirements, the floating bearing should be filled with oil first when the supercharger is installed to avoid the oil not being supplied to the floating bearing in time when the Petrol Car engine is started, causing dry grinding and damage to the floating bearing.
(3) Improper shutdown. Before shutting down, it should idle for a few minutes to gradually slow down and cool the supercharger rotor. When the Petrol Car engine suddenly stops, the oil supply stops, and the rotor continues to rotate at high speed due to inertia. At this time, the floating bearing will be worn or even burned due to high temperature and lack of oil.
(4) Improper oil selection. The thermal load and mechanical load of the Petrol Car engine equipped with a supercharger are greatly increased, requiring the lubricant to have good viscosity-temperature characteristics, oxidation resistance and wear resistance. Good quality oil must be selected.
In response to the above faults, when installing and using the supercharger, you should strictly follow the instructions in the instruction manual to operate correctly; regularly check and clean the air filter to ensure smooth air intake; regularly remove the sludge on the compressor impeller, and check the compressor impeller fixing screws and blades to prevent the impeller from falling off and causing a major accident; use engine oil that meets the use standards produced by regular manufacturers, and start and stop the gasoline engine in accordance with the operating procedures to avoid idling the gasoline engine for a long time.
