The cylinder head belongs to the valve mechanism in the internal combustion engine. It is mainly used to close the upper part of the cylinder and form a combustion chamber. It also serves as a support for the camshaft, rocker arm shaft and intake and exhaust pipes. It mainly sucks air into the cylinder, and the spark plug ignites the combustible mixture, drives the piston to work, and the exhaust gas is discharged from the exhaust pipe.
The cylinder head of a Petrol Car is cast from cast iron or aluminum alloy. It is the mounting base of the valve mechanism and the sealing cover of the cylinder. The cylinder and the top of the piston form the combustion chamber. Many have adopted a structure in which the camshaft support seat and the tappet guide hole seat are cast into one piece with the cylinder head of a Petrol Car. The damage phenomenon of Petrol Car cylinder head is mostly the deformation of the sealing plane between the cylinder head and the cylinder hole (causing the seal to be destroyed), cracks in the intake and exhaust valve seat holes, and damage to the spark plug installation thread. In particular, the cylinder head cast with aluminum alloy is easy to deform and damage due to its low material hardness and relatively poor strength, so it consumes more than cast iron. The cylinder head of a Petrol Car bears the mechanical load caused by gas force and tightening the cylinder head bolts. At the same time, it also bears a high thermal load due to contact with high-temperature gas. In order to ensure a good seal of the cylinder, the cylinder head of a Petrol Car should neither be damaged nor deformed. For this reason, the cylinder head should have sufficient strength and rigidity. In order to make the temperature distribution of the Petrol Car cylinder head as uniform as possible and avoid thermal cracks between the intake and exhaust valve seats, the Petrol Car cylinder head should be well cooled. 2. Petrol Car cylinder head material Petrol Car cylinder heads are generally cast with high-quality gray cast iron or alloy cast iron, while Hongqi Car engines used in cars mostly use aluminum alloy Petrol Car cylinder heads. 3. Petrol Car cylinder head structure Petrol Car cylinder heads are box-shaped parts with complex structures. It is machined with intake and exhaust valve seat holes, valve guide holes, spark plug mounting holes (Hongqi Car engines) or injector mounting holes (diesel engines). A water jacket, intake and exhaust passages, and combustion chamber or part of the combustion chamber are also cast in the cylinder head of a Petrol Car. If the camshaft is installed on the cylinder head of a Petrol Car, the cylinder head of the Petrol Car is also machined with a cam bearing hole or cam bearing seat and its lubricating oil passage.
