The pointer jumps erratically and the drum operates abnormally: the reason is that the transmission pinion or the gear on the digital wheel is damaged or worn. In the structure of the internal meshing character drum, the character drum will not rotate due to clip deformation, gear misalignment, burr flash or excessive wear of the reduction worm gear. When installing the odometer flexible shaft, be sure not to bend it too fast to avoid impeding the rotation of the flexible shaft. Note that the bending radius should not be less than 150mm, otherwise the main shaft will break, the rotating shaft will wear, and the odometer pointer will swing back and forth during use.

The roller does not work and the pointer does not move: This is usually because the flexible shaft is stuck in the pipe and the flexible shaft is broken; the protective pipe joint is out; the letter drum driving gear is stuck and worn, and the odometer is damaged. When replacing the flexible shaft of the odometer, be sure to find out the cause of the fracture of the flexible shaft and whether the main shaft of the odometer is stuck. You can touch the spindle jack behind the dashboard, turn it a few times to see if it operates flexibly, and then install the flexible shaft. If you can't turn it with your hands or feel that it sometimes runs unsteadily with a hairpin, don't install it blindly. At this time, you must remove the odometer assembly, disassemble and check whether the gear is damaged or the rotating shaft is bent or deformed. After proper adjustment, apply lubricant and reinstall, then rotate the shaft to see if the pointer and cylinder are working properly.
Running noise: It is found that the odometer makes harsh noises while driving. This is mainly due to dry friction caused by lack of lubrication in the rotating shaft and gears in the odometer. To remove the odometer assembly, you can put a few drops of lubricating oil into the square hole at the joint to eliminate noise.
