Petrol Car parts inspection methods

2026 01/20

1. Inspection method

The inspection method means that the inspector grasps the damage of Petrol Car parts through the senses and judges whether the Petrol Car parts are usable based on experience. For example, through visual observation (or with the help of a magnifying glass), inspect the damage, obvious deformation, severe wear and cracks, material deterioration, etc. of Petrol Car parts, inspect for cracks and loose rivets by hammering with a hand hammer, or use new or old parts Conduct comparative inspections, etc.

2. Measurement method
The measurement method refers to using measuring tools or measuring instruments to measure the existing dimensions and geometric tolerance values of Toyota Car parts, and comparing them with the allowable use values stipulated in technical standards to determine whether the Toyota Car parts can continue to be used. Commonly used quantities include rulers, vernier calipers, centimeter scales (micrometers), dial indicators, thickness gauges, tooth measuring calipers and special templates, etc.
3. Flaw detection method
The flaw detection method mainly tests the fine cracks and internal hidden defects on the surface of Petrol Car parts. Commonly used flaw detection methods in production include magnetic flaw detection, oil immersion percussion, fluorescence flaw detection, ultrasonic flaw detection and hydraulic testing. Magnetic flaw detection: Magnetic flaw detection is widely used because of its accurate and rapid inspection. Its principle is to place the inspected Petrol Car parts in an electromagnetic field to magnetize the Toyota Car parts. If there are defects such as cracks and pores on the surface or inside of Petrol Car parts, when the magnetic field lines pass through the inspected Petrol Car parts, they will be deflected or interrupted at the defective parts with large magnetic resistance, thus forming magnetic poles. At this time, when magnetic iron powder is sprinkled on the surface of Petrol Car parts, the iron powder will be magnetized and adsorbed near the crack, showing the size, shape and location of the crack.
